There has been a lot going on behind the scenes here at GHOK and I'm excited to finally be able to share one of those projects with you today. When my 10 ways to teach kids about emotions began to get popular, I knew I wanted to continue on that topic and create a great product to go with it. And so these emotions postcards to help teach emotional development with children were born.

Emotions Postcards for Kids, now on sale at the Growing Hands-On Kids Shop. Includes tips for self regulation and for parents.

Emotions Postcards for Kids

These emotions postcards for kids come in 3 different sets (8 emotions in each set) or you can get the complete set with all 3 sets of emotions plus an 8×10 poster size of each set of emotions for children to point to or circle which emotion they feel like.

Emotions Postcards for the Full Set include:

  • Happy
  • Sad
  • Angry
  • Confused
  • Crying
  • Disappointed
  • Fear
  • Laughing

The front of the cards include a picture and word to correspond with each emotion. The back of the cards include a description of the emotion and tips for parents.

They are best if printed on thick card stock and I've also included outlines on the front of the cards for each cutting. There is a front and back side which are labeled inside the printable for you. You can also print them in greyscale if your printer does that to save on color ink.

The cards can then be laminated to keep them longer and you can also use a hole punch and an o-ring to keep them all in one spot. They are sized as a 6×4 card if you would want to take them to a print shop and have them printed that way as well.

If you'd like to check out a sample of the emotions postcards, simple click the link below and download to your computer. There is one of each type of cards included and also one of the 8×10 poster sizes for you to check out.

The license on these cards are for personal or home use only, so if you are purchasing for a school, please get the educational license along side the cards. This will allow you to print the cards for multiple classrooms or teachers and as many times as you want.

I'd love to hear how you like the cards and how they are used in your family. Just drop me an e-mail or comment when you purchase and let me know what you think of them.

As a retired teacher, these ideas and methods for reaching kids and helping them build better habits and social skills are superb. Thanks a lot for sharing – it save us all time and builds a common area of knowledge we can all depend upon.
