We really love these little board books from Tommy Nelson. My daughter loves carrying them around the house and looking at all the cute pictures that go along with the verses. She has also been loving to remind me to pray to Jesus each time before meals or before bed at night. She is a great little reminder to me to keep talking to Jesus throughout the day.

I love that this book shares the actual scripture. It also has little pictures that are engaging and go along with each verse. This helps to explain the verses to your child. We will definitely be enjoying this book for a long time to come!

You can view a flip book version of The Lord’s Prayer book HERE.

I also made a little coloring sheet to go along with this book. It is just one page and is pictured above in the main graphic. The Lord’s Prayer and the verse are all in dashed font so that your child can trace it. Then they can color the picture of a cross, flowers, and grass.

i began teaching her at age 2. we have always prayed together. she is 4 now and prays on her own, both because she wants to talk with God and share something with him and when i ask her to [can we pray for daddy’s day at work? let’s pray for those who are dealing with the fires… etc]. it’s beautiful to hear her pray.

  2. Anna D says

I started teaching my kids to pray the moment we did started doing bedtime stories. 12 to 18 months usually.

  3. Nicole Sparks says

We have always prayed together as a family. My oldest was about 2 years old when she started adding in her own.
